I lead my church's photography team and often find myself shooting in very challenging environments when it comes to lighting. In this case, however, I think it worked out pretty well. As you can see, the lighting was very contrasty (yes, I know this is probably not a word), but as I watched my pastor walk across the stage while reading his Bible, I was struck by how the shadows played across his body. As soon as I captured the image, I knew that I would have to convert it to B&W. Image captured with a Nikon D850 and 70-200 f/2.8 VRII.
I don't remember the book that he was reading from, but I doubt it was Revelations because the sermon series didn't touch on that particular section of the scriptures.
