Wonderful Evan. That is one decorated soldier. Strong, powerful, (Capt?) and beautiful. You seemed to capture that very well form the broad lighting (classic Rembrandt) to the body position (pushing her ribbons and badges slightly forward but not overpowering the face and eyes) and the camera angle. Not shooting down on her but giving her power and the respect she so deserves. Beautiful and strong!!!!

Yes an Army Captain in the Military Intelligence branch. Her ribbons/badges tell that she has been deployed both to Afghanistan and Iraq/Syria, and that she was “personally present and under fire” and acquitted herself honorably. Her performance in one of those deployments was sufficiently meritorious to warrant a Bronze Star medal. She is also a parachute jumpmaster and air assault qualified.
She’s an excellent officer and one I was proud to photograph.

Evan, you captured a certain look, I can't fully describe it. Pride, strength, beauty, assurance, confidence. Awesome portrait.
That's an excellent summation.
We now have a female base commander who is doing a great job.
I didn't comment on a photo on FM probably for about 10 years, but this one is so special that I made me keep looking at the portrait and wondered how much she had been through, your photo is delicate but strong.
Congrats my brother!
A true hero, beautiful, intelligent and a true defender of our Freedom!
So well composed and executed!
Just a pure pleasure to view. Both of you are a credit to God and Country!
DOL Brother!
