Travis is a friend that I often photograph when I am feeling inspired and need someone to model for me, to which he is always a willing muse. In late July we went to Rooster Rock State Park in Oregon to take these photos and enjoy the warm weather. That same day I also took a portrait of his girlfriend Gracie, whose photo I shared in the forum back in July.
These were lit using the available natural light which was softened somewhat by the wildfire smoke in the air (which at this point was not considered to be at hazardous levels), and photographed using an original Canon 5D with a Canon 50mm f/1.4 lens.
I like this third one because it seems to capture Travis' warm personality, although I wish the top of his shoulders were exposed so it didn't have such a floating head look. This was more of a casual shot rather than a creative one.

#1 would get my vote. Very nice.
Thank you!
The color version of that one isn't so bad either, although I was having trouble getting it to look right, so I went with a black and white version which I thought turned out much better.
