I just returned from my annual fall color trip from California to Colorado and back. I don't know if it is because of the drought of something else, but areas in Northern Colorado that are usually at peak color were way past peak with mostly barren trees. Further south the color was better but still not as good as the past three years. The one exception was Kebler Pass as shown in the attached photo. It had snowed most of the day, but at sunset the sky lite up. Besides the spectacular sky, I like the bands of color from foreground to background.
This image is fantastic! Really well seen and created, especially given your story of not finding a lot. Persistence and skills pay off here for sure. Cheers.
