p.5 #1 · Your Gem Lens Non-L would be???

Wow, my own thread got ahead of me. I sure appreciate the sharing of the gems!
astrolucida - I actually sold my 28-135mm and missed it so much I bought another one. I seem to get some great shots with it, I appreciate the IS and always have it set to on, makes a difference for my shaky hands.

I recently acquired the Canon 24 2.8. I never hear about this lens and wonder why. It makes a very useful 38 mm on my 10D for street photography. It is small and light, yet has a great quality feel to it. It produces sharper images than my 17-40 even wide open, and that's comparing f/2.8 vs f/4! Contrast and color are also better. Did I mention it's cheap too?

That's my little gem.

I would have to list two:
50mm 1.4 and the 100mm 2.8 Marco.
Both are outstanding lenses for non-Ls
