Ronny, just an amazing image!!! The Faroe Islands are definitely on my bucket list!! Did you take this from the hard turn on the 45 highway just outside the tunnel? (Been using Google Earth to locate this image.)

Thanks ! You park up in the village and then you go back down to the cliff .. you can also go down on a terrible stairs if you want to photograph from below, however, the best place is up on the cliff I think

Great image and a beautiful place. Funny, I went to google earth as well right as I was reading this...I see Peter Norgreen has an image very similar. What do you suppose those people in those houses do for a living or heat or ? Always intrigued by that. A little farming or ranching maybe.

Actually no idea .. but when we were there we met some who lived there but I never asked what they work as .. I think there are 16 inhabitants in the village ,, but now there is a tunnel through the mountain so they might work outside the village , easier now when you can use a car as transport
