Hard for me to believe it, but today was my 1 year anniversary with the 150-400. It's been a fun journey so far, and lucky for me the universe was cooperating animal-wise today.
In other news someone was trolling me on DPReview today about how their $50 iPhone 5 will take just as good photos as the Oly 150-400. Hmm OK, lol...turns out I'd rather be here with people that appreciate what the lens is capable of It's been fun seeing what everyone is up to with the lens...

Thank you. so far I've been testing it in Georgia and Colorado. in the Next few weeks I'll bee testing in my home town of Florida. so far the glass seems extremely sharp but, I find the EM1X is "behind" the glass. I wasn't prepared to be stopped and ask by so many people about the lens (more than happy to share). :-)

Perhaps a better comparison in the way of results, price, reach, ability to shoot handheld and such, would be Nikon’s new 800 PF. I canceled my 800 PF preorder and am very intrigued with the quality and flexibility of this zoom possibly paired with the OM-1. There definitely are some gorgeous images throughout this thread.

I also shoot the Z system and just got the 800 PF. I can tell you that apart from somewhat similar price and maybe reach they are nothing alike - the MFD is way closer on the 150-400 and of course being able to zoom from 300-1000 equivalent is a different experience; a fixed focal length prime at 800 is a challenge to use in practice. The 150-400 is also a significantly smaller lens. I've been thinking about writing an article looking at these two on my site.

I would definitely be interested in reading such a comparison and seeing a comparison of similar images taken with each system.
