I received my lens earlier today and based on the few images I shot around the house it’s a keeper.
I do wish it was a bit lighter but the way I plan to use it at weddings the weight shouldn’t be much of a problem as I don’t see myself handling it for more than 2 to 3 hours out of a 7 or 8 hours day.

I've used this lens on a couple smaller jobs now. I am extremely happy with the purchase. Using this with a second body with a 24GM or 20 1.8 and it fits 99% of my needs.
Some situations shooting directly in the sun is the only flaw for me. But I can work around that.
A few images I thought I would share. Yes these are edited and processed to my style.

Anybody happen to have this lens and a Peak Design 10L sling? I’m curious to know if it will fit in there vertically on a body with the hood reversed.
On a recent trip, I have done about 45 km of hiking with the A1 + Tamron 35-150 in the Manfrotto Advanced Holster L (https://www.manfrotto.com/ca-en/advanced-holster-l-iii-mb-ma3-h-l/). I like this bag and would recommend considering it. There will be no need for reversing the hood.

I think you should be good. I just tried with my ThinkTank Turnstyle 20, which is supposed to be 1-2 cm shorter, and it fits (barely, but with thick Tamron lens cap on ). A1+35150 measures just below 23 cm, from the EVF rubber eyepiece to the end of the lens cap.

I don't have that bag, but the camera and lens fits in a Lowepro Toploader Pro 70 AW II, the dimensions of which are 16.1 x 17.8 x 23.5 cm. So I would imagine it should fit.

Hi J4nu
Thx for your reply. I read your prev reply saying it didnt fit 5L, and now I understand you meant vertically silly me
I am in Perth and still waiting for the lens to be available, planning to trade in my beloved 28-75 F2.8 with this lens as 1 lens solution + 5L peak design. so yeah, i do hope, and I really think it will fit horizontally.. fingers crossed :P

As it seems to to fit in a Peak Design Sling 6l (horizontally), does anybody know if it fits in 3l? I‘d like to keep the bag as small as possible. The inner length is 25cm at the top and 19cm at the bottom.

I think you need around 22cm to squeeze it in. Maybe with a smaller body you could save a centimeter here or there...
