this is something at least. I did further testing, it turned out that if the resolution is in a certain rage, it triggers the bug. Fuji GFX 50 files do, probably Sony A7R4 as they are in the 50-60 mix range. I had no issues with somewhat smaller (eg Nikon D850) and much larger (Fuji GFX100) files.
PS - before someone thinks I own all of these cameras - I don't except for the D850 . But I happen to test a lot and have raw samples.

I believe it's a larger problem than that as I'm having the issue with my Nikon Z7, which has the same resolution as your D850.
In my opinion DXO pulled a DXO, and shipped before they finished testing. The fact that it works with Lr but not PS says they just skipped over part of what should be a well established QA/QC protocol.

Not yet ready for prime time. They asked me to run a diagnostic script and mail them the resulting file. Hopefully there'll be a fix soon.
As frustrating as this is, I cut DxO some slack given how good their noise reduction technology is in Photolab & DxOPureRAW.

I used to work in software development. This just shoddy work, no slack cut.

I'm using it. No issues so far except that updating the preview after making tweaks is painfully slow. I don't remember it being this slow before. I'm using a high end Win-10 machine (i9, 1080ti).

I installed the new filters and did not have a problem. However, after reading this thread, I opened Photoshop again and tried to load Silver Efex 3, from the PS filters menu, and got the disk full message. Then tried using the DXO menu and had no problem. WTF?? Use the DXO menu as a workaround until they fix it. Still worth the money. Vivesa 3 is much, much improved. Silver Efex is too. Control point adjustment is awesome. WIN 10, latest upgrades.

DxO Support sent me an email update saying they have found a fix to the issues we have been having but they are testing the new build to make sure it doesn't spawn more problems.

If your running windows try Revo uninstaller (Free) in advanced mode. Follow the prompts and allow Revo to delete the residual Nik registry keys and folders, then reboot. Then try installing Nik again. Of course use this advice at your own risk... If you break your computer I'm not responsible nor will I answer repeat tech questions. Good luck

Zero installation/usage issues here but what a joke, it's half-baked. Some of the apps are still useless on my Lenovo 4K 15" laptop, they haven't been updated at all.
It's been quite a "trip" with this software, almost 20 years of intrigue!

Like Rajan I received an email form DXO this morning saying they fixed the issue, and a link to a new install. I just did and am happy to report that it now works.
The new modules (Silver Efex 3 and Viveza 3) are nice improvements, with a new interface that gives greater control. Glad to see that.
On the flip side, they did not update the interface on the other modules, so things are not consistent. And they have yet to resolve all the screen sizing issues that accompany 4k monitors running at anything other than 100% scaling (such as a 4k monitor on a 15.6" laptop).
Still, they did get things cleared up so at least I can use it now.

I think I'm glad that I never budged from the Google version. The reviews of the first DXO version were not that great, so they are being true to form.

I purchased NIK 4 but didn't install after folks noted these problems. I'm busy with too many projects and don't want to beta test and solve problems. I emailed Customer Service, provided a link to this thread and said I wanted a refund. They issued one.
For what is worth, the price is low but I use NIK every day. I will likely re-purchase again later and I do not care if prices rise. I purchased NIK on release eons ago and I paid around $400-$500 back then. I got my monies worth and would pay that again. I just need to work without issues.

Todd, you may have discovered the problem with viviza and the sharpening plug in where the fonts are about a barely legible size 1 or 2 on a 4k monitor. They corrected it on some but have said won't be doing any more, I have been using it since the early 2000's at the purchase cost then of over $600 so know the layout without being able to read it. But, I am just glad it is still available so live with it. What are they charging now? Less than $100 for all plugins?
