As stated on the website, the emulation modular packs work on Acr/lr >7.3 only.
On dxo you can use our DNG basic profiles.

I primarily use dxo for my color work.
Could someone describe what the workflow would be in dxo?
Do the film simulations also work in dxo, or only the basic camera pack.
I do not see the dxo workflow described on the website- and with no trial software available, just want to be sure what I am getting into.
Thanks for any info.

I am sure you'll find that in bold over any emulation details.
The modular system is part of the new Adobe xmp support started on Lightroom 7.3 so it's quite important to know that before.

Thanks
I did read through your website, and did not see that clearly described.

When you see different color "feelings" like the yellow or the green , compared o the Generic by C1 remember two things:
1- the habit of our eyes, for someone working 10 ours (at least) at day since 2010 in front on a calibrated monitor is normal but sometimes need to be recalled. Your eyes are addicted to color reproduction and if you put on the same image the HUE at -10 and you work for one hour on that, finally you'd swear when that is the correct one comparing it to the same with correct Hue on 0. The same happens on color signature on C1.. not constant and perhaps reddish-orange.
2- Our profiles are calibrated and you can see on our website (and on this topic as well) many comparison, data and details about how superior (for accuracy) are compared to the Adobe std and C1 generic and PRO.
so, answering..
1-standard profile is built with a correction for skin tone, let's say for more pleasing skin tones
neutral is more accurate for landscapes, Macro, commercial...etc.
2-daylight is for ... day... flash.. outside light until the night... and night without any artificial light.
tungsten is made for any artificial light.(warm mainly)
3- I think I answered in my prologue
Thank you for your honest review, and yes, even before our project I always complained about the capture one base profile... easy to understand why the level of NON-p1 profiles are so inconsistent... they started their interest in other customers (other than P1) in last two years and they assume you make your own profiles for pro works.
TIPS.
On c1 always LOWER structure and Clarity to -15 (both) and the sharpness almost at minimum, with low radious whit NR at maximum 10 .
After that, you can emphasize the area of interest with a mask and your favorite settings, by default they always put too much clarity and structure.and sometimes people confuse that with a better raw engine.
Again, thanks, we appreciated your feedback....Show more →
Thanks for your response, and an interesting remark on Capture One's default clarity and structure settings. If I understand you correctly, CO1 applies sharpening (of the clarity and structure kind) at the "0" setting, which is not a good practice, but may well be true because images out of Lightroom tend to look smoother and easier on the eyes at unsharpened settings.
Is it possible to post some examples, comparing the same image but processed once with the LEICA MONOCHROM CCD and once with the LEICA MONOCHROM CMOS emulation please ?
So, falling for the frenzy of this thread, I caved in and purchased the profiles for my A7III
Now: love what the "Standard" does to skin tones in Lightroom, they look amazing.
And I say that being partially colour blind, so that is a great endorsement! (my partner, with excellent vision, likes the results very much, so I am reassured!).
But I also purchased the Fujifilm FIlm emulation pack, and on that, I am quite a bit less estatic...
Every image I run through them seems to change really drastically, and most often not for the better.
Was I superficially naive?
Should I have gone for the Fuji Digital emulation, so I'd have access to something similar to Fujifilm-in-camera emulations? (or the CCD fever: I owned and loved the S5Pro...).
Not to complain, rather, to understand what exactly the use of these film emulations might be

I’m also interested in the Fuji digital pack but would love to see some comparisons with the Fuji film pack. I’m also using an A7 iii.

I bought the Fuji "Digital" emulation pack and it provides equal results compared to what Fujifilm provides for their digital cameras (including the GFX100). However, I've seen samples from the Fuji "film" pack and they are in a different level. If I would do it again, I would get the film pack but now I want both.

Where did you see the film sample Fred. I looked at the ones on the website, but was looking for some more samples of Fuji 400H, specifically its greens etc, so I'd be interested to see any additional samples you may have links to. Thanks!

Thank you.
For that specific request, I am sorry but I can't help you.
There are just different colors (so wrong to say that ) signatures; different sensibility to the light frequencies makes the differences between the two cameras (MM and M246) and so the two emulations sets.
Basically, you should know exactly where to go, some samples are not enough to choose.
To me, the ccd is close to what I want but is a personal preference.
This is a problem in general still with photography - I imagine little / not enough testing is done with dark skinned subjects across the hardware and software photography ecosystem. I am black and my wife is Indian and you really need to shoot differently, watch your backgrounds, lighting, have lots of dynamic range, watch your highlights, etc. Would be interesting for someone to do some profiles/presets as starting point for dark skinned subjects (maybe they exist I haven’t looked).

@Ulysseita@: Do the standard profile skin corrections account for various types of skin tones? For example, darker skin tones?

Some other samples of emulation in the Fuji Film pack.
Always Adobe Color on the left and cobalt on the right

Thanks. I think your product can be set above the rest even more if you did a specific correction for dark skin. Do you think that's possible?
We have something on the roadmap, specific for portraiture of different skin tones

Strange, when I take carefully-sized screen grabs of the two sets of color images, and look at them in Preview on the Mac, so that they show like a slide-show (in the same position), I can see no difference between the Adobe and Cobalt visions in the A7R3 set; and in the M10-P only a difference in the reds of the dress and the singlet but, surprisingly no difference in skin tones. Other sets earlier in the thread show large differences in the Adobe and Cobalt profiles. What do you think accounts for that?
