Does anyone have any more samples of the Cobalt Fuji Film Pro 160 profiles? Ideally before and after if possible? I really like the look of the image in this post but would like to see some others before purchasing if possible
@Ulysseita: How can you be that quick providing base profiles for specific cameras? Recently for the Sony A1 and today for SL2, both at the same day after a users request. What kind of magic is it? 😊

I am Saruman!
Easier than you think, first , many of the new cameras are on the list "to do" and sometimes I simply ask if they are available (to my Gandalf colleague) but not online yet.
Second... the "characterization" phase is the longest, after that the specific profile creation is not a long task.

Haven't had the chance to test yet the Digital Emulation Packs, but purchased the Adobe Basic Pack.
The "Cobalt Standard" profile is really nice, especially for skin tones , as it removes the yellow/greenish tint otherwise present with the "Adobe Color" profile, which used to be my default profile for anything except landscapes. Great job there !
For landscape photography, I tried the "Cobalt Repro" profile. What I like about it is the flatter feel, with smoother micro contrast compared to the "Adobe Landscape" profile. This results in a somewhat more finished picture. But you have to work harder and the processing steps are slightly different than what I'm used to (the exposure needs to be boosted a lot). Here's a totally unscientific comparison:
(It's easier to see the differences when you switch back and forth between two pictures, hopefully the above is still useful).
Overall a great product, although expensive, especially if you own several cameras that you'd like to match....Show more →
This is my (brief) experience, too, with the Cobalt Neutral or Repro. A lot of the images I posted here used the Neutral profile and pushed pretty hard in post. The good news is the files responded well and I didn't get any weird artifacts or banding.
On the other hand, when I use the emulations, the files don't seem to respond as well to additional adjustments. I only have the Kodachrome emulation, though. Anyone else notice this?
@xpfloyd: Yes, you need to buy a base pack for each camera you have unless you‘re using C1. For C1 you need to pay for each camera-emulation combination. if I understood it correctly you don‘t need a base pack for C1 if you‘d like to use only the emulations.
After review here I have decide to try Cobalt Image software out and purchased the base for my A7RIV and R5. Still seeing how it compares to Colour Fidelity with Lightroom Classic. Wish it wasn't extra to also use Capture One but want to see it has real value first and currently using Lightroom as my default.
Now I still need to better understand what Camera/Film simulators there are to take advantage of. What do others use most or find most interesting? What is best for Black and White and best for color? Let me know.
Thank you.

Kodachrome emulation is less open to big RAW edits, it's our choice to be able to keep at a higher level the emulation (for our taste) of the feelings of Koda.
We offer two different presets for different light environments to give freedom to users.
I admire what Ulysseita is doing with the Cobalt-Image profiles and presets, as it seems one can go nuts trying to get the color look one wants. Below is an M9 photo, about which someone on LUF wrote the following: I don’t know how to put it into words but I find this a very typical example of the M9 with the Summicron 35 iv. It will be my memory of this camera/lens combination. Probably the neutral if not slightly cool/blueish cast. Some people talk about the Kodachrome25 character of the M9 images, which you can see here also.
As I now shoot with the M10, I'm wondering whether any of the Cobalt presets can easily get me in this direction? I suppose I'll wait to see what the Cobalt Kodak pack looks like: perhaps a Portra 800 emulation can get close to something like the image below with the M10? It seems that the M9 CCD was designed by Kodak with Kodachrome (25?) as a color reference.

Thx Ulysseita and FM for arranging the discount! Picked up the base dng and Fuji digital emulations and nice to be able to replicate my Fuji digital emulations on Sony files pretty accurately. Might sell my X100v and pick up an A7c now!
