Excellent capture. Hehe the last picture expression is like "the hell who was that?"
I have several shots after that. The eagle definitely looked very angry and looked like it was trying to chase the falcon. Shortly after that, the falcon returned to the tower.

Wow, is the expression I could come up with. You captured the sequence really well, Kim!

Thanks Joshua.

Wow, what an amazing sighting, and you captured all the key moments beautifully!
I was very lucky. During that period I was trying out a newly purchased 200-600G lens with the A1 body. I am not sure I could have swung my larger 600GM around fast enough to get that series.
It was nice knowing the 200-600 could handle focusing during the whole series.
I will have to get down there sometime in the not too distant future.
Rich
Great place. It was the first time we really wanted to just sit and wait.

I have seen a falcon chase off an eagle before, but there wasn't an attack.
Two days ago, we saw a pair of falcons do a warning fly by a great horned owl and two of it's young.
I was so busy watching, I didn't take any photos.
Nice shooting.
That happens to me too many times😀

That's a pretty b-llsey peregrine nesting amongst hundreds of eagles. Never would have expected that, but it's pure guts.
Yup, pretty neat birds!

Superb sequence. I guess that made the trip worthwhile.
A falcon killed an eagle that got too close to it's nest in New Jersey a couple of years ago. The falcon dove at full speed and hit the eagle in the neck and the eagle went limp and fell into the Hudson River.
Morris
Crazy.

I don't usually use higher frame rates because I get too wrapped up in deciding which images to keep. Luckily I broke my own rules😉

That is crazy! What awesome behaviour you got here.
Thanks. I always get a kick out of watching the smaller birds chase away the bigger ones!
What a great action sequence. I have captured the Eastern Kingbirds tackling the much larger Swainson's Hawks because they were flying through their nesting territory. Always nice to see.

I've read accounts of kingbirds attacking airplanes coming in for a landing over their nests near airports. They are utterly fearless!
