During the winter I had an amazing experience with a Bobcat. Amy and I seen it briefly walking but a terrible shot. We watched it for a bit but far off for any pictures. It laid down and fortunately we seen where it was because you could not tell at all there was a Bobcat sleeping. We waited for 2 1/2 hours and finally it awoke and came walking down the hill and gave us amazing views for about 20 minutes in some beautiful light. I used the R5 with the 400mm f2.8 III + 2x. This was my only time ever photographing one.
Beautiful series of photographs!
An encounter like this is very special.
It is interesting that these were not just luck but the reward for patience and skill in interacting with wildlife.

Rob, these are great shots and a wonderful encounter, but I think this is a Lynx not a Bobcat.

Thanks, it is definitely a Bobcat as Lynx are not in my area. You also can tell by the amount of spots, bobcats have more. The back legs are longer on a lynx also giving them a more raised hip vs a bobcat. The ear tufts are shorter on the Bobcat also.
