Wenyao,
You stirred up an old disturbing memory for me. As I am Polish and have been there twice in '85 & '87 and photographed it both times and took the tour and saw the movie they show, but was so disturbed by the experience that I hadn't even thought about posting any of them. I also went to another camp in another part of Poland. Please don't give people the impression that this is in Krakow! Krakow is such a beautiful Baroque city. Also, the names Auschwitz-Birkenau are the German names for these camps. People have forgotten how many Polish people were killed there also. I guess you pushed a button that needed to be pushed by your wonderful rendition of this awful place. I will have to go back and look at my images now......It feels wierd to say "Thank You."
Did you go to the Warsaw ghetto? Dziekuje bardzo...
I've been there last year with some of my friends. It was really a emotional visit.. i didn't get as far as birkenau, tho. The strange thing was, the weather was really nice... no clouds at all and the colors were all pretty saturated... that didn't fit in that place.

#2 & #3 are absolutely stunning images. They both grab me by the heart. The horror that was at these camps is still there. Your images show us that in a very convincing way. Excellent work.
