Douglas you may remember I posted a bit about this project- MasterMandoMomalorian by MedicineMan4040, on Flickr
That's my friend Mo who gave me welding lessons.

I had a similar set up where I lived pre-retirement for the larger bierds. Here is my first success story for this 'hawk' tower. Not what I was expecting at all.

People have been asking for some not Bird Images. I went for a walk through a custom car show down at San Diego Bay this morning. I took the a1 and the 35mm 1.4 GM I bought with it. So, I though I would post a few of the images.
The a1 was perfectly willing to shoot non birds just so everyone knows.
It looks like the Sony a1 + 600 GM is working for you.
Those are some of the best KF images I have seen.
K-H.
Thanks for the kind words, KH.. its definitely a pleasure to shoot with. I had my friends kit for a week and I put it through the paces. I fumbled a bit with the settings but my friends Rory and Arbitrage were right there to answer any questions I had. End result it did everything I asked and more. I give the A1 and the 600 GM an A+ without hesitation.

Thanks Pius. That’s terrific and great to hear.
You guys up there certainly have the birds that deserve that gear.
I only have the “lowly” FE 400/2.8 GM, 1.4x TC, and A1.
I rate them as well as A+.
BTW the FE 100-400 GM gets an A+ as well.
Excellent for backyard hummingbirds.
Some edits of flying squirrels back in July, was shooting more backlit for some variation. I think the rim light shots like the 2nd works better from the side showing the squirrel in profile, I'll post some later.

Smoke is finally here rendering the telephoto useless. Shooting garden spiders with a manual lens is all kinds of fun. Eye-AF did not trigger.
Smoke? What smoke? EL was crystal clear this morning on the kayak. Are you still up island? Nice spiders!!

I think Pius needs his own A1....do you know anyone selling one?
No help from me with that. Not selling. In fact, I am going to be buried with mine...
Pius, sorry bud, if you want the best, you are going to have to buy a new one. Or you could settle for a low resolution R3, and get close enough not to have to crop.
