Nice shots of these jets, Christian. Are they F-18 Hornet or Super Hornet? I have seen the Canadian Snow birds and their F-18 demo several times, great stuff.
Thanks, Doug.
The RCAF flies the original spec F/A18-A Hornet (plus a few Canadian spec goodies that I can't remember). The guys from CFB Cold Lake in Alberta (~1000 + km East) come out West and fly out of CFB Comox on patrols every so often, but I've never noticed actual ordnance loaded on them. You usually see the external fuel tanks - the Hornet is rather short legged otherwise - but spotting the Sidewinder/AMRAAMs on the rails was unexpected. These guys touched down long enough to refuel and then headed North rather quickly afterwards.

Hey Pius, did you go to some sort of bird photography workshop or get some private tutoring? you image seem have taken a huge leap forward in quality.
In any case something has changed for the better.
Who says you can't teach an old dog new tricks.
Its hands free the a1 does everything for me, straight out of the camera...
