Two trips out with the A1 thus far. Still a lot of adjustments to make but so far I like what I am seeing. Coming from an R4 there are some definite advantages.
Dang something crazy. This weekend we never got above 40F. Yesterday it was 47F when I woke up!
And boom the bugs are out. Sitting on the dock hoping for something to fly by (the Buffleheads left two weeks before the A1 arrived), saw nothing but this Damsel
Sat on the dock yesterday morning thankful for spring's arrival (dang it took its time). This shot via the FE2860 kit lens. Back in the other era/pre-covid we traveled a lot and the TamFE17-28 and TamFE28-200 along with the 200600 were mainstays.
With what I actually shoot and my interest in wildlife (have I ever even taken a portrait??) I think the 200600/1.4tc and this 2860 would do just fine.
If I thought a Milky Way was in the cards I'd leave the 2860 and take the 20/1.8.
Anyway, the front yard with the kit lens (uploaded full size on the Flickr page/a costly upload on Hughesnet
