Had some good birding yesterday.. first set is of Ruby-crowned Kinglets. BEAF is a huge advantage with the these small birds that just jump from branch to branch and is one of the primary reasons I decided to get it. No more having to move the focus points around (which by the time you do the bird is off to the next branch)
The next set is a bit of a mix.. Pileated Woodpecker, Palm Warbler, Yellow-rumped Warbler, White-throated Nuthatch, Killdeer. I'll throw in one non-bird photo
You guys and your owls are killing me; truly envious. I bet you had a blast shooting them. I've not seen a GHO since they cut down the forest near my house.
This is the "pink supermoon." I got super lucky. While looking at the images on my computer, I noticed what look like a tiny bug on my screen. However, a bit of zooming and some screen cleaning and I learned the bug is actually the space station transiting the moon. It's almost impossible to see on a small screen, but zoomed in on a big screen and you can make out the solar panels. If you look closely, you may be able to see it at the bottom of the moon at the 6 o'clock position. And you may need a magnifying glass.
It's not a great image, I was on my way home from shooting a HS baseball game, so just stopped in an empty lot and held the 400 2.8 GM up to the moon and shot a few images. There were some clouds, which I think hurt the sharpness. That and my rush to get home and eat. If I had known the space station was there, I may have taken a bit more care.
