These aren't good shots. They were captured from clear across the lagoon, so I was just hoping to ID the poor bugger in the eagle's talons. This eagle has been going after these female Buffleheads for months now, and until today, I never witnessed a successful predation. I'm honestly shocked that there was enough resolution on the 600GM+1.4x +A1 combo to capture more than just smudges at that distance.
Wow, I have seen more and more wonderful swallow in-flight images. Impressive! Did swallows all over the place get the note to slow down their flight speed and to fly less erratically or what ?

I'm sitting on the shoreline of a lake last week hoping for fishing bald eagles when this flys by. I was in BIF mode with the shutter speed so stopped the propeller. It later landed further back of me but didn't sit long.
