Thank you! A funny creature - this was the first time I saw one. At first, I did not understand what the egret was doing. I even thought it could be injured. As it turns out - making these jumps and spreading the wings is this bird's fishing technique.

Heh, simple things are what get us worst. I drove 2 hours to catch some sunrise fog last week, using my backup Z6 for filler landscape shots. Got home to find I'd knocked the Stills/Movie toggle to Movie mode, resulting in a card full of 1080p images. Going to cover that thing in electrical tape.
