Let me see if I can get these two images to upload...Yellow-billed Duck and Cape Teal - both from the Sewage Treatment Plant near Fish Hoek, South Africa (on False Bay)

@webmstrk9@ very nice capture! I'm headed back there for round #2 in a week. I can't wait! Love the tones in your shot.

Thank you! I was talking to someone there, they mentioned, they may start flooding another part of the refuge as it has been dry.
FYI, there's a white tailed kite at the entrance's intersection, it's been in that area and towards the other intersection for the north and south loop
Bobcat sightings in the same area. we almost ran into one on the highway by the Chupedera RV Park at night
I didn't make it to the Canyon trail, but there's reports of a great horned owl and peregrine falcons
Two more from the last trip. Bombay Hook visitor's center in the background in the top image. Wall of Dunlin on bottom. Happy Thanksgiving to all that celebrate that tomorrow in the US

Awesome! Thank you for the update/info. I'll be on the lookout. We ran across a dozen or so mule deer with a few nice bucks. Eagles as well...so much going on there, it's a fantastic place to photograph. Oh btw... hate your images... when I see them.. the little voice in my head says "It's ok.. you need the 600 F/4...no worries.. your wife won't divorce you...maybe" Killer shots... looking forward to more of them.
Just spent a week hiking the Grand Canyon with my son, and had the a1 attached to my chest backpack strap via Peak Design Capture Clip, and it worked fantastic for quick access. I shot almost exclusively with a 28-60, and I was astounded by the sharpness of that tiny lens. Truly an excellent light travel combo!
Here's one of my favorite shots. The details in the large print I made from the a1 file are just wonderful
I'm heading back in about a week to see if I can do better with the A1 +200-600 combo. I think most of my issues were self-inflicted and not because of the gear.
Hopefully the exposure on this shot looks better than some of the previous images, my monitor reset back to factory specs and the brightness was cranked way up. So, what looked nicely exposed on my screen was really very dark. Good times!
We made a trip one evening to the Very Large Array from Bosque del Apache hoping to position the full moon with one of the antennas. This is a 10 image stitch with the 600/4, full size can be seen in Flickr
