Took the entire summer off to flyfish across the western US. Instead of having the 600mm GM on the A1 I had the 90mm macro attached for the majority of the time
Back east now and finally got out last week to chase fall warbler migration locally. Last Sunday I had 11 different species which might be the most I've ever had in one day during fall

Thanks. Pretty sure the bird is a Black Phoebe. They are always around, just haven't spent the time to try and catch them in action until now. It was a slow day otherwise.

Yes your bird is a Black Phoebe and holy crap what amazing images of these tiny birds. These are the most detailed images I have ever seen of a songbird in flight that was not prefocused or using a remote shutter. Congrats on absolutely fantastic photos.
