Fred's second copy seems more like I would have expected. I haven't ruled out the 35i though either, for an all arounder AF lens.

This is awful service by the USPS. Last night it says it left Philadelphia at 8:47 PM. This morning it says it left Philadelphia at 4:24 AM. I had a package misrouted a couple weeks ago, and it eventually meandered it's way to me and was delivered. Here's another case where I can't even trust the tracking information I see. This package was supposed to be delivered last Saturday.

I have been using USPS and Fedex a lot recently, both have experienced lots of delays. Our last cargo sat in Harrisburg Fedex location for 4 days before it started moving again.

I've had an occasional problem with UPS missing by a day, but Fedex has been pretty reliable for me. I guess it's not just limited to USPS then. Just a little frustrated.

Finally got my lens, priority mail 2 day on the label, just like Stephen said. Pretty much falls on USPS having issues getting in to me in a timely manner.

I plan on doing one, but unfortunately the weather doesn't look favorable for the foreseeable future. It's supposed to be cloudy/rainy/drab at least into next week I believe. I need a good afternoon with some sun and crisp, clean air.....and one that coincides with me being free.

I also may try to post crops of center, midzone and corner like Fred does......at least I'm going to give it a shot.

Based on Fred's first copy, I thought the Tamron would hold up really well to the CV. But based on his second copy, I'm thinking the CV might pull away a little. (Maybe even more if I was shooting the a7R IV.) But we'll see. I still think the Tamron is an amazingly sharp lens in its own right and its control of LaCA is excellent,

I am actually quite interested in the comparison, and not just at infinity. Obviously there are limits to what can be compared. The Tamron can't go to f/2 and the Voigtlander can't do 1:2 macro, but within their overlap it'd be interesting to see how they stack up. And by extension how the Sigma 35 and Tamron would compare. I don't think I'd ever get rid of the Tamron, because its so inexpensive, and I use the closeup capability quite a bit, but both the Sigma 35 and the Voigtlander are certainly tempting as future acquisitions.

Same.....I have a bunch of Sigma lenses all of a sudden, I could see the 35i being my all arounder AF lens. The CV be more of my fair weather landscape lens, and the Tamron be my waterfall lens.

I will try to do a bokeh comparison as well, although that isn't really my forte.

I can justify almost anything.....
