Might as well get the obligatory cat shot in, taken under the dining room table with i35 at f/2 with animal eye AF on the A7 III, slight crop and minor adjustment of the shadows. I think I like the way this lens renders.
My 35/2 arrived today. Love everything about it. Sharpness, rendering, balance/handling on the A7C. The aperture ring resistance is great and the MF focus ring damping and "throw" is much better than my FE20/1.8.
took some random photos to test if I liked the lens. uncompressed raw using AF-C, AF tracking via touchscreen and MF. Everything worked as desired. minimal PP in C1 - which does not have the lens profile yet so it defaults to Loxia 35. (and Apple Photos reads the exif as "Sony E 35mm F2.0")
This is a keeper and will join my CV15 & FE20 for the A7C.
Need something longer. People really seem to like the Sigma 65 also which is 14 ounces but might be too much of a jump from 35 .. instead of a 50/55mm.
My 65 just arrived today, and I think it is the perfect match for the 35. The 35 / 85 combo is very popular but I do find the gap to be a bit large, which always causes me to wonder if I need a 50. This problem is solved with the 65. The other thing I like with the I series 35 / 65 pair is the similar handling and rendering of the images, plus the 20 G pairs up nicely with this set with similar weight as the 65.
Hope to post some more images this weekend with the 65.
Finally had a chance to try the 65i this morning. One of the first shots below at f/2 with an RNI color profile applied in LR. This lens is really sharp from f/2.

The 65 is a very corrected lens as well. The most of the whole series, but it does retain a smoothness that I don't find in my Samyang 85 1.4.
I'm sorry, I moved the message you're responding to here: Link
(I figured it would be more on topic there, since this is an image thread)
