Did not use this lens for a year or so, suprised by how sharp this lens is wide open at mid and long distance. And how nice its OoF redering can be. Focus still leaves to be desired, a newer version with exactly the same optics and AF like GM lens would be instant winner imho

Lots of great shots with the Sigma small primes. Just wondering why no-one shoots with the 50/2 though. I have the 35/2, and want to partner it with the 50 if the resolution and rendering are the same. Any thoughts/samples would be much appreciated.
I use the I series 24 f/2, 35 f/2 and 50 f/2 lenses extensively for landscape work. all 3 are really stunning optics. I use the 50 most often and it never fails to delight.I'm the wrong guy to ask about Bokeh as I shoot at f/5.6-16 99% of the time. But for resolution and nearly zero distortion I don't think it can be beat. Certainly for the price and weight.

Thanks for the feedback on the 50, must be up to par with the other I series then, and yes the size/price/optics ratio is very good.
I'm sitting on the fence about the 50 for now as I don't use that focal length much. I'm pairing the i35 with the Nokton 40/1.2 which is working OK for me. I only need that narrow FOV 90% of the time, and with the Sigma being slightly wider than 35 and the Nokton slightly longer than 40 I like the pairing. The sigma images can look punchier though in some situations, but the Nokton has other great attributes also.
