Good point AGeoJO. I like the 35/50 combo though, and 65 is bit too long for me. I like the sigma rendering, just wondering if the 50/2 has some flaws/caveats.
Sigma I series shooters tend to go with the 45mm f/2.8. It is a good all-around lens which is close enough to 50mm to forego the 50.
Sigma 65mm.
Very sharp when wide open, nice bokeh, convenient focal length and... that's it.
There are two things that irritate me.
First: there's a lot of defects if I shoot in fog or low clouds in the mountains. There's focus confirmation, but it doesn't focus.
Second: often, in cloudy weather, the white balance goes blue. It's clear that this isn't just the lens's fault, but there are no problems at all in bright sunlight.

Great images here!
I would like to ask, what do you think about 35/2 (or 1.4) + 65/2 combo versus 24-70 II?
Concerning image quality only (not convenience) for general purpose (walkaround, kids, landscapes, travel). Are these primes worth it? Is rendering and just one stop of light making a difference?
The fpL has some baked in Duotone options. I am not really certain on where to use them, but I thought this one kind of worked with the cherry blossoms on the waterfront.

Concerning image quality only: yes, the primes are better. But again, if you do not pixel peep, you probably won't see any difference.
