LR works nicely on network drives. I am using C1 on y USB3.2 and it works like a charm. Don't have faster network than that at home.
I know. I use LR. My NAS has a Thunderbolt network connection. And I also want to be able to edit on the go on my IPad.
As for C1, as well as the lack of an important feature, which they seemed uninterested in implementing, I was unimpressed by the way that they got into petty parochial wars with Leica which meant that they didn't support their lens profiles. Finally, they really seem to be cranking up their prices.

Great shots - the beach shots look very RX1R-ish which is a very good thing.
Thanks smpetty. I always wanted to try an RX1R, but the price was too much. I'd say this combo fills that need for me, with IBIS and better AF, although not quite the same size (or from what I hear, not quite the same lens either).
I agree it looks very RX1R like! What did you do for editing? Any presets or profiles, or just fiddling around with exposures and color?
I had the RX1R2 for a season, and I've been chasing that look & size ever since. While I didn't have a big problem with it's AF, I did really miss IBIS: it was often the difference between 1/60s with IBIS and 1/125s without IBIS, and that made a noticeable difference to me in the low light, indoor settings I'd ofen want to use my RX1R at (for day time, I'd slap on my 16-35 and call it a day).
It's been another week since owning the 35i, and I gotta say, the size, build quality, focal length, OOF rendering, and lens interchangeability is causing me to not miss the colors that I've enjoyed with the 24 GM, RX1R,and CV40. Without the L plate and without the lens hood, the 35i + A7R2 combo is tiny for what it offers: f2, IBIS, FF, interchangeable lenses. Not to mention that the price of that combo is the same price of admission for a 24gm, 35gm, or used fixed focal length RX1R.

I have a set of Lightroom presets that I made that work for me. The one I've been defaulting to lately (for these) starts with the Modern 01 Raw preset. The other few that I use start with Adobe Color. Either way, my presets all bump the blue curve down slightly for more yellow, and in the color tools I bump up red saturation and down orange saturation and increase the luminosity for both. Shadows at 50.
Some more shots with the A7C Sigma 35i combo. The AF is effortless as it was with my old 35FE, but the backgrounds are clearly better. Processed these with my new Cobalt Pentax 645 preset. Really liking that as well.
I narrowed it down to this and the 35GM. Since I have the A7C I prefer small and light in keeping with why I got the A7C. If I still had a regular sized Sony body I would own the 35 GM even though I know it would not have improved any of my 35i images quality 🤪

Very curious about this lens. Almost pulled the trigger a few times but seems like the plethora of 35mms muddied the water a bit.
