hahahhaha

Mate, I leave my xdrive 80gb in the hotel

And I take with me each day:

4 x 1GB
3 x 512MB
2x 256MB

hehehe

For the last two days I was crazy shooting heaps of landscape, seascape and heaps heaps heaps of portraits of kids here. They can pose for you for half an hour and in return they each get a lollie from me... islanders here are so primitive, there's no electricity, no gas, no water (but a well), some kids are running around naked, some females are topless, breastfeed in front of everybody...hunt their own fish (fishing), eat coconut, home-made knife etc etc... got to show you guys the pics

Mate, for the last two days, I shot 4gb a day (90% large jpg, 10% RAW), I think I can fill up my xdrive really fast...got to get an extra HD when i get home...I am so excited (and got sun-burnt really badly)

The brightness of the 2 photos are also different... could the uv filter have an effect there? kenko pro uv filter was on the 16-35

I don't think so.. can't be THAT much different but I did hear someone say they compare their Canon 24-70 is about 1/3 to 1/2 stops brighter than the Tamron 28-75.

A UV filter can reduce the amount of light, but it depends on the brand/quality. Unless Smelly has a really low quality filter on his lens, it wouldn't make a difference.

Apparently the aperture settings are also approximations between different lenses, but I don't think there should have been quite that much of a difference... It would have been interesting if you'd shot a series at different apertures.

oh, and Smelly, with your growing lens collection I think you should also invest in a dry cabinet - they're actually pretty cheap, considering what they do for you.

I'm actually thinking of selling my one and buying something slightly larger, so that I can fit all of my lenses + bodies + bronica.

You can see what I've got on this site: www.drycabinet.com.au . look up the dry cabinets models - the model number of my current box is AD-042.

Buy my car. Very loved.. use the best oils in it and I service it every 1/2 the service intervals....

Dry box.. hmm... I got a closet... and a big bag of silica....

How much $$ for a dry box? and how portable is it? how much juice does it consume?

Slightly larger? Do they come in shipping container size?
