Found out that smoke is from a burning satellite.. more than likely anyway.
Btw, anyone going to this Brisbane show? Stolen from the PICA site.

FROM POP TO PHOTOGRAPHY DELTA GOODREM IS A WINNER
Top selling Australian artist Delta Goodrem has been named Celebrity Photographer of the Year by the Photo Imaging Council of Australia, which is the peak body for the photo industry.
Stunning photographic images captured by Delta will be displayed for the first time at Photo Imaging World – the largest photographic exhibition in the Southern Hemisphere – at the Brisbane Convention and Exhibition Centre between 10.30am and 6pm Friday, May 13th and Saturday, May 14th and between 10.30am and 5pm Sunday, May 15th.
Entry to the exhibition is free.
Paul Curtis, Executive Director of the Photo Imaging Council of Australia (PICA), says “the images taken by Delta are particularly strong and show unequivocally that her creative talents extend beyond popular music to visual interpretations.
”The pictures Delta has captured are rich and vibrant and reflect a fine appreciation of the art of photography. We are proud to have her as an ambassador.”
For her part, Delta has expressed her appreciation at being selected as the Celebrity Photographer of the Year.
“Travelling the world as much as I do, I never go anywhere without a camera in my bag. I find photography enjoyable and relaxing, but my shots have never been made public before.
“I am excited that other people find these pictures meaningful. To me they are little treasures that freeze moments of time.
“Photography for me is fun and a wonderful, worthwhile hobby and I encourage others to experiment with it,” Delta says.
Several of Delta’s images will be enlarged and displayed alongside 1,000 other top Australian photographs in a “Best of the Best” Photo Gallery, which is part of Photo Imaging World. You can also view Delta's images online at:

Yeah, why not? Did you end up getting a medium format kit?
I've been looking for the perfect 'Blad for ages now, I'm coming to the realisation that I'm going to have to deepen my pockets or lower my expectations (probabbly the former).
I had a play with one in the cabinet at foto reisel the other day. Felt like a nice specimen, I just couldn't part with the $ there and then...

Now that is cool. 1 case of beer to the person who can get Delta posting on the Hi Sydney thread. Use your connections people
Her photos are not at all bad imho, and is that a Leica M I see?
I think the difference is she happens to be a celebrity and Iam not, that's why i am not nominated...reminds me of her songsmistaken identity/out of the blue which I hear but not listen to on radio every hour for the last 6 months...Nicole even bought her CD for my b'day what a nightmare
I'm not available.. have to do a stack of things that day.
Mind you Delta isn't a bad looking girl... in fact she looks quite alright but her speaking voice.. hmm.. needs to improve there and I can't say I am a total fan of her music. Probably falls into the WS-FM category really. But if someone can get a good shot of her with a sign saying maybe "Hi Sydney" or "I really really love Sydney"... then I'll chip in for a case of beer.
Been busy lately, but managed to shoot my first sunrise ever! that was this morning, just before going to work. Although very disapointed with the overall results, will post some here later for comments.
I've never been to brisbane before, but can't go this time.
