good point about the car...I put it up there on my pbase because I like the directional light..that's all, nothing 'special'...may try BW with some grain as you suggested.
#5 is easy, just put an extension tube between 24-70 and body, get in really close - about 5cm - move back and forth and go bang bang bang!!! I got a everything-blurred version for any future wallpaper use - this 'sharp' one is too distracting for wallpaper IMO
btw, I found out that my web server can selectively block access to image linking from other sites. This doesn't mean that people can't steal your photo's, though.
Btw, here's what my old boss said after showing him my gallery... he's an avid 4WD since he used to work for Land Rover and gets about a lot out the beaten track.
You might want to try Newnes if you haven't already done so.
Should get some good pics of the Wolgan Valley and on the top side the old RR line and tunnels. It's up near Zig Zag at the top and down past Wallerawang at the bottom.
A good reference book on the place is "The Shale Railways of NSW".
Newes is the track that went right as we were turning left as we entered the dirt track to the Clarence station. I will do that when I get a 4WD to beat about down the track. The roads there are quite corrugated but easily driveable in a 2WD... just shakes the hell out of the car doing it.
One day, I will wash my car, drive it to some interesting place (some non-dusty outback or farm) and shoot some lifestyle portraits for my car, anyone had this in mind??
Zane, I've done some car shots.. not that easy and very time consuming.... Also there's not many places you can hang out of a car or not wear a seatbelt whilst moving to get a decent shot but I guess you can get around that with a slower shutter speed and drive < 25km/h where you don't have to wear a seatbelt.
Btw, I got a few ideas for cars as well though.. but it's more tasteful than Hot4s crap and less of a full sik bro. Do something that shows car proud....

But I want to shoot not only abstracts but more like portraits of the whole car, say, against a sunset...in a farm
Hi Guys, had a look thru all the galleries from the mt wilson trip, too bad i couldn't make it, had to work that day. Lots of nice photos there, though not many good plantations as subjects!
Zane, i've always wanted to take the car to do some portraits, tried it at maroubra and olympic park, neither worked out very well, too many cars around and need a lot of freedom in parking the car in the orientation i want. Any other ideas on good location for this?
