Yeah i think the crowd factor was way over rated, we drove in never seen so many empty parks around the city . All the poor people crammed on the buses that passed us Also did not realise they had a morning walk and then an evening one was it closed in between how many on each one as only 200k were allowed altogether. That is not that many considering how many people are the area for NYE

True... then spread over that large period of time. NYE crowd-wise must be at least 5 times larger.

Hewlett-Packard (HP) has launched an Australian version of its Snapfish online photo printing service. The localised Web site, www.snapfish.com.au, allows Australian Snapfish users to upload digital photos to share them with friends or order locally produced prints.
Starting from AU$0.19 for a standard  6 x 4 (10 x 15cm) print, excluding shipping, Snapfish significantly undercuts the normal every day prices offered by its major competitors, such as Kodak (AU$0.49 per print) and Harvey Norman (AU$0.29 per print). Up to 60 photos can be delivered by standard mail (1-3

Ed W: i've just placed my order yesterday, and paid the Sigma price as an advance. I don't think i can reverse that.

Hydrotoast: i've read through that forum, but no one compared clearly this aspect.

However,

i've bought the Sigma 30mm F1.4 a couple of days ago. I've returned it, after some testshots, and ordered the Canon 28mm F1.8. Maybe i've grown picky with the 50mm F1.4, but the Sigma didn't give that performance. Maybe i'm comparing egg with apple. But it had some issues.

Any know a repuatable company that does IR conversions in Australia or one that is off shore and has good service to us. I'm in Darwin so I'll be sending it off anyway so to the US isn't that much more inconvienent.

The reason for the work is I have a nasty fungal growth on the sensor screen that can only be cleaned by pulling down the camera. It is a 300D and I was considering upgrading (no I will but my pockets need a top up) so spending a large sum to repair this just doesn't seem logical. Spending the same sum to enhance the camrea sounds much nicer. (yes I am ware it won't take normal photos after).

Cheers,

Daniel

Hi Daniel
I sold my 60d two yeras ago to a guy in the USA he had me post it to England where it was converted to IR. I sure he would not mind you contacting him and asking why he had his conversion done in England and not the USA.
