Then I won't convince you to buy one of the sharpest lens Canon makes.

Just tell her that you'd rather carry a 135L than a 70-200 when you go on holidays.

Just do it, James! Its the only lens on this review which scored a 10 out of 10

http://www.lensplay.com/lenses/lens_data.php?lensID=23

Its still one of my most favourite lenses.

Cheers
Sheila

Question to the folks that sell stock photos... look at this image..

http://www.pbase.com/dickytong/image/45008526.jpg

Now I'm just putting up this one on istockphoto.com so sell since I have nothing much to do ... it then returns a response..

"Logos on buildings

This file includes content that may be subject to copyright or trademark
protection. Certain use of this file creates risk of infringement and we regret
that it cannot be accepted, unless this content is removed from the file.
"

THEN

"On boat

This file contains legible information such as names, signatures, license
plates, phone numbers, identification numbers, etc. Due to concerns relating to
privacy and related property rights, we cannot accept this file unless this
information is removed, or a release is obtained."

What the I mean do we have to remove every single logo that just so happens to be there because they decide to show it up on top of their building That means there is NO possible way one can sell stock photos of Hong Kong without photochopping every single signage and probably then, they''ll reject it because it's not "artistic" to be in there.

FOR SALE: Canon EF100-400L

OK.. crunch time... . I'm going to sell this one as I've barely used it. Last time I used it was when the comet McNaught was visible... but before that, no idea so it's been sitting in my dry box taking up space.

No scratches at all anywhere and comes with the carry case. I think I have the original box but I'll confirm later.

$1950 all up. Take it away. I prefer pick up/deliver in Sydney as it's not the easiest of things to post.

Centre Point vanishes in today's moody weather:

Straight from the memory card, focal length=10mm, ISO100, F3.5, handheld @ 1/50sec.

@ Zab: Nice work on that centrepoint & tonight's afterhours in the CBD - they feel just right for Sydney

@Smelly: I don't know much about stock, but that looks pretty generic to me

The bridge was lit up tonight with coloured lights for the 75th celebration. There was a very misty rain so most images are a bit softish but have quickly put this pano together.

Smelly if a travel agent wants to print a brochure of HK and wants to use a stock photo how do they get them without any advertising in them
Zab love your street photography something I always end up disappointed with

Chris, that pic of the bridge... whilst it's fine.. I was expecting something better out of the light show. Nice to see the Aboriginal flag up there too. Anyone walk the bridge yesterday?

It was a shame as it had misty rain squalls passing over all night which made the sky a bit muddy and when I finally packed up they put on the lazers that shot up into the sky. The lights changed colours and scrolled across the main arches at various times through the night as well.

You know what.. sometimes when you're at the Mac chair that you'd like to get rid of the Opera House that's in the way... miss all the nice views of the bridge.

Good pics though!

I actually did this handheld and relied on the IS. A lot of blurred photos as a result though . I saw a lot of people with tripods though .
