If our friend from the Snowy's is still around, wonder if there are any pics of the snow falling down there.

Borat.. don't know if I should watch it or just be so offended by it.

Hi Gentlemen,

i've dropped the powershot camera, and migrated to Pana FZ-50. Then i returned it to the shop and upgraded it to a Canon 400D. I'm very happy with this little newcomer!
Do you know any place here in Sydney where i can get preloved lens? Or do you have some lens for sale? Im looking for wide angle lens. Thanks.

Decided to recycle some of my lightbulbs so far this is the one I am happiest with.
I think I need a dimmer as in most of them the filament is way over exposed but the smoke looked better curling up before it disappeared out of the frame.

Got the dimmer and yes it is easier and no over exposure of the filament. Still need to experiment a bit more when the power is turned down there is less smoke.. Also changed the WB to a cooler setting

Brilliant ideas Hydrotoast. As a matter of fact, i prefer the former pic.

I have a stylish candle, which i want to shoot in a pitchdark environment. Can you share any tricks?
Should i use another candle behind the camera to light up my scene?

last time I shot a candle in a pitch dark environment I didn't quite get the results I was hoping for:

http://deepdark.net/files/candleInADarkRoom.jpg

must have forgot the candle behind the camera _poke_

But seriously, maybe try light-painting the table with a flash light or something to get a shadowless glow-like look?
