Hey chris have you an audio trigger ?
I guess you mean me and you are refering to how I triggered the flash for the light bulb. No nothing technical just the ends of the pc sync cord soldered on to a piece of cat5 with one end taped to the bolt and the other taped to a piece of wood. There is a nut on the bolt as it drops it contacts the end on the wood simple as.
The trigger (something you can not do with canon flashes no pc sync port)

Interesting setup there Chris . Just a thought .Instead of editing out the ordinary looking booker rod ,maybe find something to put on the end of it to make it a feature .Just thinking out loud .I have no idea what .Certainly a cool idea thats for sure .Whats your Mrs say when your setting up this kinda stuff around the house ? Or do you get the rolls eyes look and walks off without asking too many questions .

The next thing I want to try is using an electronic trigger and setting the flash on stobe and having a ball bearing smashing into the bulb freezing the travel of the bearing as it moves through the frame .

How about a 1D2 firing 8+ shots to get the explosion frame by frame. Looks pretty cool. Very imaginative setup.
Not sure it would be fast enough to capture 5-6 frames x 10,000th sec plus strobing gets it all in one frame

Well, it looks like the weather is clearing up this weekend and so a friend and I are thinking of checking out Sculpture by the Sea on Saturday. Anybody else up for it?
