A better outline of what you want to achieve with PS might help Tony.
Alternately Call me on Skype and register with www.logmein.com and send me an email asking for assistance . I can then log onto your PC and SEE in real time what you see and guide you as easily as being there , if you like that is.

Thanks Maurie .I'll take you up on that offer if i don't get it sorted soon.
What i want to achieve is simply to be able to work my shot in photoshop and save it for web viewing without any drastic colour shifts( not to the enth degree , but to the same standard as everyone else who uses photoshop for there web shots ) . Viewing shots in PS and Picassa my shots look fine straight out of the camera .After i do the basics in PS ( resize and sharpen etc.) and go to save it that's when the trouble starts .Shots become yellowcast to a degree that is very noticable when viewed in windows and browsers (Firefox, IE etc,).
I've read up a bit and so far i'm doing all that's asked but it doesn't seem to be working.
The screen shots i posted are one configuration that i tried . I was hoping a couple of people here who run photoshop would see if there setup is the same /similar/totally different etc.
Oh, I found out the EF12II is an amazing thing. Certainly transforms the 70-200IS into something even better. I find the EF25II has a very small focus range.
Sorted my colour problem .My monitor needs recalibrating .I did it a while ago and had it setup but turns out my kid has been screwing with the settings ( why why why why !!! ) Anyhoo .I'll redo it to satisfy my angst .
Nice bokeh on that first shot smelly . What's a EF12II ?
Just back in Saudi after 4 and a bit weeks back in Australia. Two weddings and a trip to the Bunya Mountains. Huge amount of editing to be done but it will give me an excuse to stay out of the heat here. At one wedding I got to play with an EF 135 F2 L. It is now on my list to buy. I found it a wonderful lense to use, but the Depthof field could be a killer.
Just finished with my first low-light composition. Here you are, i was playing with shutter speed and some additional light. Pretty new things to me. Phew! I've tried to squeeze the last bit out from that Powershoot. It was fun shopping for design plates as well
