Hi,
I just saw the website for Richmond Air Show (RAAF Base) 21-22 Oct. And it says "Journalists and photographers" are to submit a Media Accreditation Form....
I'm not media and not a pro. so getting accreditation is out of question. As a regular person, am I allowed to bring my camera and lenses to shoot at the show? Or will I be hassled/prevented from taking picts?
Just had a look at the Media Accreditation Form there is a contact on the bottom of the form. SqnLdr Peter Rothwell no phone but a Fax number (02) 4588 1866. Fax him and ask the question. The worst he can say is No. But then not good PR to stop Little Johnny taking his Point and Shoot to get a snap shot of his favorite plane. The Flickr Plane spotters group of Sydney is going to take photos http://upcoming.org/event/99934 . Wouldn't hurt to contact them and ask
thanks for the info. Actually, if it was p&s, I wouldn't be worried, but... I have been hassled before (on a few occasions) for taking picts of buildings with 350D and various lenses. I am thinking of bringing the 350D and a tripod.
I'll try the fax number. thanks.

They might have issues with the tripod, but the 350D should be fine, they let the general public into the Avalon airshow with some pretty hefty camera's and lenses.
No idea... I was only there from 8-9am... so there was only 2 cars that had a go at the dyno... 120kW and 108 or something from 2 different ITR. I think the results are on www.clubitr.com.au
Does anyone know anything about studio lighting or a website I could browse for information? It looks like I could do with some decent studio flashes etc but at a loss as to what it all means when looking at the equipment specs.
