Just noticed in sundays paper an ad for Bing Lee that has Sandisk Ultra II 512MB for $59 and 1 GB for $99 . That sounds cheap to me for a walk in the door store . Anyone know if thats the going rate now ?
Oh i forgot to mention those prices are for compact flash. They have sd cards as well but i can't remember the price of those .
I've bought the last few cards (1GB ) through ebay at around $120 bucks including postage so anything around the same price is surprising for Australia .
When I got my 20D I got a 1Gb Sandisk card from the States for 99 USD that was about 18 months ago. Next lense is out the window for a while, Minister for War and Finance brought a huge rock while in Sri Lanka 820 USD. Will post horrorday "snaps when they are edited. But got to see a wild Leopard, fingers crossed it is in focus.
Thanks guys - I had a feeling that might be the suggestion, but the reason I can't decide is that while I hate the kit lens, I love the wide-end focal length, hence I am considering getting the 17-40 first... also I dont know if I will get the 70-200 at all, or just save up for a 300F/4L IS.
I guess I just need to think about it some more
I wish I could just afford both at the same time and be done with it!

If you can't decide on either, why don't you go middle of the road with a 24-105
Word of warning open top Jeep Safaris on dirt roads is not camera friendly
Sri Lanka was fabulous but it has left me with a Camera and lenses full of dust, can anyone make suggestions as to a good place in Sydney to get them cleaned and calibrated. My wife will be back in NSW in July and (cringe) she'll take them back then. A rough idea of the cost would be helpful too.

Thanks in advance
Don't send it back to Canon... you'll never see it again. I'd suggest Legend camera repairs in the Dymocks building on George St. The guy there (Paul) is usually very helpful. Otherwise take them to Whiltons on Elizabeth St.
