Congrats on the new cam michael . I'm going out to the creek for the Superbikes .Saturday most likely . See ya out there .
400 f2.8 , man you are getting in deep .
I'm surprised at the price of the 30D . I thought it was going to be over $ 2500 Surprised because it sounds cheap ( to this post SLR buyers brain) or maybe it comes as less of a shock after you have bought a ton of gear .
The price of stuff becomes a blur after paying 400, 500 or 600 bucks for a flash or 150 bucks for a memory card that looks like a waste piece of plastic that you throw away from a packaging box.Or hundreds for a tripod .Explaining the difference between the manfrotto and a Kmart tripod to anyone outside the loop and you are in for " Your f*&^k 'n crazy " comments. Maybe it all dulls the brains senses to the amount of money we all spend on camera gear . Its insane !

sounds familiar Tony.... I used to think buying my first SLR the Minolta 404 for $600 with my own money was a huge investment and i was going to use it for the rest of my life....

Sure is! Couldn't agree more Tony.
I might spend a weekend with my Holga in protest to Canon.
