i don't know if it works the same if i pull out the white reflector from the 580ex. That lightsphere thingy is a bit scary (to the subject) when you attach it to the flash
Mardi Gras is good to go for me... and yes I was there last year (taking photographs) waiting at Starbucks there. I think we'll do the wander into Hyde Park and then back out again as usual or just head towards Liverpool Rd end of the park and stand on milk crates. Remember to bring something taller to get over the crowds and have the option to rest your feet.

It's definately a talking point - which is why I haven't used it much for weddings (too many questions, but ALOT of smiles!). The LS2 PJ should "look" a bit better on
And milk crates huh? I'm going to need about 3 - I'm 5'2 in heels!
I was at the CNY parade for a little bit and was standing behind alot of people so I didn't get many good shots ..
I think if you don't have milk crates like there was last year, you better be good at point, shoot and pray all above your head. Some shots of mine where like that coz of the amount of people that was lining the roads.
I think it was a bit of a joke that us non-accredited people were standing in the middle and basically the security guards and event organisers just gave up telling us to go back.
Hey Micheal R I have just been looking at your supermoto web picks, have you been using the flash for fill lighting in some of these By the way every time I have a look at your work it just seems to be getting better and better you will be permanently on the other side of the fence soon. Have you gotten any further with the track side acreditation yet.
hey chris... yeah some of the shots where with flash..... as the racing was held from 2-10pm.... we did get track access for this event..... the guys that ran the event were really cool and gave us plenty of access... have spoken to editor of Rapid bikes magazine... they are going to use a photo of one of there staff who was racing so that is a little start .... plus he want to talk to me about maybe taking more ? fingers crossed...... and thankyou chris for the kind comments... i really am trying to take different shots i'm getting a bit bored just seeing the same old shots time and time again....... i always check out this site for some inspiration... www.automotophoto.com if i could be half as good as this guy i'll be very pleased i still have a while to go but i'll keep a trying.....
