I dunno I have'nt heard anything about the 10-22 but you may find that you'd get some barrel distortion I'd say .

I'll try to find some of my experiments with the 15-30 for you.

Maurie, apart from a black card, what other colour do you use...say for flower shots? I am thinking of getting a green cardboard for my indoor flower shots just to make it more natural. What do you think?

I use Black & Grey Craft card and Green velvet cloth so I can drape it over things or hang it up .

Mozz: Good to see you on the thread :-) It's all hands to the pumps to test Fred's web site code, um I mean make the posts record. Which ever comes first Nice work at Aspin btw.

I know I am 10 pages too late, but good Windows gallery Barry.

Ed: I thought about that 80-210L too, but the I got some sleep. I reckon you should too I like what you did backlighting Carly's hair too.

Hey, did you all see the 135 f/2L, anyone interested? (lets not bid against each other).

Zane: Love the shots at Nantian Temple

Count me in for the Mardi Gras meet too.

Thanks James!!

Nah, I can't really justify getting an expensive L prime if I won't put it to good use...just like what the seller said. This lens is long on 1.6x body, it becomes 210 f 2 ... hmm ...that's like having a light weight fast 200 1.8. You going to bid?!

While on the topic of prime. the 35 2 is currently my favourite:

35 2, at f2, on EOS 3, nice bokeh, but what's that purple fringe doing?

Thakns James and Zane . yes I know I have been less than active on FM forum of late .
This has been a result of a number of things not the least of whic Anne not being well in the run up to my Expedition to Aspen .

I have been a little preocupied with a couple of other projects ( mmmmmmMMMM Money in the bank) .

Good to see all you guys discussing things and being helpful to each other , one thing that FM is famous for HELP and no attitude that you find elswhere.

Come on.. for a 1Ds hahahahaha!!! Don't sell yourself too short.

Zane, go get yourself a 1DsMk2.... forget this non Mark 2 stuff.. :P

I wouldn't sell my car for a 1DsMk2 though... but I'd sit outside Circular Quay begging until I can pay one off.

Instead of begging, why don't you put your 1DS Mk2 to good use, set up a photo kiosk of something and shoot photos for tourist. Sell 8x10 prints for $20, 2 for $30. Do that everynite, weekend. If you sell 10 prints per nite, say you make $10 for each print, you pay off your 1DS Mk2 in 140 nites, then start working for your lenses and Epson printer....

But if you buy your 1DS Mk 2 from Salon HK, you probably pay it off in less than 100 nites

Come to think of it.. it's not a bad idea... I mean the guy that bought my 300D does it... with a 300D and standard lens... amazing!

I think I just need a new job.. anyone after a budding photographer? especially on weekends!
