I thought about that 80-210L too, but the I got some sleep. I reckon you should too I like what you did backlighting Carly's hair too.

Hey, did you all see the 135 f/2L, anyone interested? (lets not bid against each other).

Thanks James,

I'm not desperate or crazy enough to bid on the 80-200. I prefer heavy telephoto lenses to have IS anyway.

The 135 f/2 is a very nice lens, though. I tried it on a 1Ds mkII
You can buy a new one from HK for roughly AU $1300.

I'm not sure what my next purchase will be, as I have no immediate need for anything that I don't already have.

Photographing kids is very hard work...

...epecially if they don't want to stay still long enough for someone to position a reflector...

Nice pic of the kid. What was the lens used?

Yes, it's hard work. I've tried photographed my two nieces, 6 and 3. Mate, everytime you raise your camera, they will turn away. After each shot, they request for review of the shot on the LCD. After a few shots, they request for the camera to play with. Try to put the camera strap around their neck, my strap has room to fit at least two kids and my camera was just being risked dropping...

It's around AUD$1000 if you get it from Salon

People here say that it's one of the sharpness and best lenses Canon makes
