I can still first off 9 shots before you get to your 7th on the 350D. I'd still use the 10D more than a 350D since it fits well in the hand. The 350D is too small and still awkward for me to handle.
but is it true that you can only get 9 shots then stop and wait for the buffer to clear, but with 350D, you can keep going?
Doesn't sound to promising . I was planning on going out there .Starting to have second thoughts now .
no I said that because I took an IR shot of a church in Goulburn i like and in Dubbo i was too busy having coffee and beer with friends....just go, we all have diff eye
Hey guys/girls,
I had no idea there were this many Australians on this forum!
Im just doing my HSC at the moment so wasnt able to make it out to the last drift event.. but would love to head out the next one.
One event you guys might want to check out is the Australian Bike Show Sydney (push bike) It starts on the 21st Oct. On the 21st there will be a MTB 4x event (pretty much BMX racing but much more exciting with some good contact racing) then on the 22-23rd there will be BMX street, dirt riding and also MTB Trials demo's (I will be there)

yeah, so what's normal? read and write in equal time? (don't laugh if i am asking a basic question)
You should be able to read off the DVD much faster than the writing speed.
Here are a few shots from one of the first 24-105 f/4L IS lenses to be sold in the country.
Caveat - I was on lunch break and didn't have much time to be creative... so all of the vertical shots were taken as I was walking (ie, in motion). The IS performed superbly.
Also, two of the shots there are bokeh test shots.
Hi guys having fun here in NZ not getting many photos though as it has turned into the land of the long gray cloud. Rain rain and more rain too bad but it is better than working. They had new snow on the ski fields last night so off sking for the second time tommorrow, first time up the mountian they just had 750mm of new snow the day before so the sking is working out fine. Will head up to the snow fields at 5am tommorrow and wait and see what the weather does as far as photos go , then first day up the mountians they did not come out of the clouds to about lunch time and the light was oh so harsh.

Should add to your caveat: "and with Crap Photo Alert function on my camera turned off too"
Seriously I m glad you are not showing us charts, brick walls and maps ... well done Ed
IIRC You're actually copying files from the DVD through your laptop to a USB hard disk, so perhaps the problem has more to do with USB - is it a USB disk or USB2? Is it a full speed USB2 connection?
Speaking of which, you will need USB2 or firewire to get any benefits from an external DVD burner.

no no no no no, the DVD burner i have now is a built-in one
I am asking would it help if I have an external one connected by USB and yeah it's USB 2.0 i strongly believe

If my camera had a Crap Photo Alert function, it would never let me fire the shutter.
From the Personal Function menu, choose either
P.Fn 21.1 Crap Photo Alert off
P.Fn 21.2 Crap Photo Alert on, shutter does not fire when crap photo is detected
P.Fn 21.3 Crap Photo Alert on, shutter fires anytime
You must have set your camera to P.Fn 21.1 or 21.3, check it tonight
