Thank you again for the image samples and the further details/explanation. Much appreciated. You certainly selected a very colourful scene to investigate! I will look again tomorrow during daylight in my office. Perhaps how I calibrate my iMac 5K Retina or current ambient lighting in my environment the uncorrected sample still looks best to me. Of course I do not have the memory of the actual scene and colours in real life like you do and should be a determining factor.
I prefer the M10 look for my M lenses over adapting. Nonetheless, it is clear to me with Sony or Nikon sensor-stack we can get away with a lot. ...Show more →

Wrote up a review for the Leica SL (Typ 601) after using it professionally and for personal use for about 5 years! Tons of sample images with both L- and M- lenses, and my thoughts on using the system in 2020.

I just read the remainder of your blog as well. Very enjoyable! Thanks for that!
And I realized that my camera problem all in all might not be that bad after all...
Do you stil have the M9-P? Have you never considered ditching the SL altogether to only work with an M?
Really appreciate the kind words, thank you!
Haha...my camera problem is reaching triple digits soon......
I just let my friend have my M9-P! It's off to a good home now. Yes, my Leica M-adapter-L actually broke while I couldn't afford L lenses, so I bought an M240 and used that for portraits for nearly a year! Worked for me, but definitely strained my eyes a lot when having to get lower angle shots using the rangefinder.
