I am hoping you had a Merry Christmas or happy holiday season. Most important things are being with family and friends as they fill our lives.
Photography is also very important for me as it frees me from worrying too much about the bad news around me.
Here I want to share with you some of my own favorite images from this year, some of them may not be too representative for the viewer but the story behind them is what makes them special to me in a way.

Juan, yours are all killer images! Although quite common but the blue-throated toucanet image is exquisite and the motmot and its symmetrical prey is awesome.
Are these real or stuffed birds? Just kidding! You guys are so blessed with so many colorful birds and species of hummingbirds! I would love to retire in Costa Rica but the wife has other ideas/plans.

Josh, amigo the Blue-throated toucanet is not that common! I simply took you to Blue-throtated toucanet heaven, thatīs why it seemed like it was common!
