Picked up a little M-mount 7Artisans 50mm f/1.1 on sale for just $260 the other day, brand new. It's a tiny lens, and of course fully manual. Given the price and the budget type of lens, I wasn't expecting much, and while it certainly isn't a great modern lens, it is actually reasonably sharp wide open with a somewhat unique rendering. Bokeh is a bit tempermental wide open, but settles down at f/1.4, and for the price, speed and the compact nature of it, I think it punches above its price point.
JMAN - beautiful image. . . . Do you turn image stabilization off with a non-IS lens or have you not had the misfortune of the reported problem of the R5 or R6 rotating the first in a series of IS shots (with non-IS lenses only)?

IBIS is on. I have set both my R5 and R6 to use IBIS for shot only, which fixes that little issue.
So even though it may shake in the viewfinder, you find that the IS still adds a lot of benefit in stabilizing the actual shot in practice? . . . Thanks

Yeah, it's just as effective....I get about 4-5 stops with non-stabilized lenses. Can get consistently sharp shots at 1/5s with my Sigma 135mm f/1.8.
R6 with Zeiss Milvus 50/1.4 ZE via EF-RF control ring adapter. Handheld, SOOC except for leveling. I have always loved Zeiss lenses. The MF algorithm(s) of the R6 makes MF'g of the lens a no-brainer/eyer as it were, and since my eyes are shot in the ass, I'm overwhelmed by what looks to me to be pretty doggone good focus. This was a quick snap as I was getting ready to exit the Philly Art Museum's store and just liked the colors. Check out the EXIF. WOW
