Stunning for a fairly common bird. The beak down and into the water shots are such a wonderful take - I may have to try that myself. Isn't copying a form of flattery? haha
Good grief! These are just gorgeous Colin. I was going to pick out and list a few favorites but as I scrolled down I started loosing count.
I agree with Bob about the tree stump. You have a gift and I'm glad you share it with us here.

Mallards are great! Just because something is common doesn't mean it's boring - these photos in a sense allow us to see them with new eyes.

These are more about the photographer seeing things uniquely Colin and a good lesson for me to appreciate and expand my visions. The light and colors are most entertaining, I wish you would number these but those tight at water level headshots are marvelous and the chick bailing off the log is just sweet!

Wow!
Not the usual boring mallard shots (I have about a zillion).
Lots of special images.
The young chick leaping off the log is an amazing image!
The eye level close ups, especially with bills and heads in the water, are superb.
I imagine it took a long time to accumulate such a great set of images.
