p.1 #1 · Comet Neowise from British Columbia

I don't do much Astrophotography, but sitting on the beach for a couple of hours was a pleasant way to spend the evening, and I'm pleasantly surprised at the results. Taken at ISO 640 and pushed about 1.5 stops. Cross posted to Sony FE Images thread.

Thanks very much! I've actually scoped out another foreground that I hope will make an even more dramatic image. Clouds in the way last night, but I'll keep trying...

I'll also try higher iso settings with shorter exposures, but 640 with a push seems to work nicely.

Looks like it was a great night out shooting. I've always loved taking photos of the stars while on the beach. Something special about it.

Thanks Johan! It is a very special feeling to be out there solo, with the tide nipping at your feet and the stars overhead. Quite special.

Thanks Zuru! I love the mountains as well, but I think the implied motion of the water here adds to the dynamic nature of the speeding, yet seemingly stationary, comet.
