I used to drive to Petaluma for work from Milpitas and take that bride everyday.
If you are no longer doing that drive, you've lucked out! In the past few years the morning commute traffic coming from the East Bay over the bridge has built up to a real logjam. It eased up a bit during the early period of the pandemic but is almost back to "normal". And then the evening commute back to the east is a little more spread out but still bad.

No more. It used to be fun, me and a buddy long drive, listening to the radio. You know you near Petaluma when you see (sometime smell) the cows. Miss those days as work was without any work related tensions.
Here are two full size sample from my lens. I'd say the tamron 28-200mm is an exceptionally sharp lens given the low price, low weight and zoom factor of x7.
Even when looking at images at 100% it's quite a bit sharper than e.g. my fuji 16-55mm. https://live.staticflickr.com/65535/50838741118_763046a25c_o.jpg
Capitola beach (little down south from Santa Cruz, CA) from the new yr day. I work up 4:30 something, drove to the coast. Not many clouds but it was good to get out.
Add a Laowa 10-18mm and a fast prime 24mm or 35mm GM.
My 55mm & 85mm f1.8 (think the 90mm macro should be able to cover the 85mm) and 100mm-400mm GM, will be finding new owners soon, just like the 24-105mm 3 weeks ago.

Tam 17-28, 28-200, Sony 200-600. Anything else needed for life? Oh a macro
I only have the 28-200mm right now and want to buy one more lens.
Which one would you buy, sony 20mm f1.8, samyang 18mm f2.8, tamron 17-28mm f2.8, laowa 10-18mm?
right now I think it'll be the 20mm f1.8 because its quite light, decent wide angle (according to reports it's more like 18-19mm than 20mm) has same filter as the 28-200, would be good for astro and is also not too expenxive (about 690 where I live).

Whats your need ?
10mm to 28 mm is a large FL range with different use case.
Astro - fast Lens
Sunstars, rendering, size - loxia, CV primes
Safe pick - tamron 17-28..

I paired mine (28-200) with CV 21, works for me.
Landscape photography including some astro (but not that much), also weight and having only few lens changes is important because I often hike for longer distances.
I think I'll get the sony 20mm f1.8, I found an offer for 790.- + 100 cashback + a 100.- giftcard; so 590 for the sony seems a great price.

This is my current set-up as well for casual family travel with my A7c. The 28-200 for the lions share of stuff, the CV 21 for if a sunset or other opportunity presents itself.
Speaking of, so my 28-200 showed up today, the handling on my A7c as well as A7R3 is really good IMO. Also appreciate the zoom lock. One interesting observation is how long it stays at f/4 when zooming...somewhere just past 70mm I believe. A quick look found that my old Sony 24-70 f/4 from years ago was less than an inch shorter in length...and obviously didn't go all the way out to 200mm. This replaced my 28-75 which wasn't being used...found too often if I needed f/2.8 or faster speed in that focal range I was using small primes anyways.
I realize this thing won't replace my good primes on my A7R3, but this also ensures a good camera is available to me at times when in the past I might not have bothered due to convenience issues where photography isn't the priority. So it's a win for me.
