I have the lens on loan from Tamron for a review so I took it out on a shoot with me yesterday so I could test it for a couple of photos during the shoot. I shoot mostly primes so it's not my normal game. Fairly impressed with the image quality
Am I doing something wrong or are all the pics here posted in 1-2mp size? How am I supposed to get an impression of the lens in terms of sharpness, microcontrast etc. in a resolution that is only 2-5% of the original size?
Do you have good ressources where I can find full size sample pics that are NOT from tamron-sponsored sample lenses, but 'normally bought' ones?

Cross-posted from another thread but here's an album that might help you out at all with some of your questions.
Spent a few days in Yosemite and the SF area. Took my A7RIV with the 28-200 and the 17-28 only
Here’s a Flickr album from the trip where all photos (except the one astro one) were taken with the 28-200. Some of them aren’t my favorite editing but worked enough for a family album for my brother and nephew.
I'm really impressed by this lens and I would say it's a real must for a lightweight travel and everyday kit. I usually mostly on the A9 but i seems to perform well on the riii as well.
