p.1 #1 · Glimpses of the mighty Himalayas and some blue lakes
Hi all,
I am not much of a landscape photographer (more of an N&W guy) but I wanted to give you some glimpses of my home country's magestic mountains, the mighty and the holy Himalayas. I have experienced most of the mountain ranges such as the Rockies, Alps, Andes and the Himalayas. Nothing compares in sheer size to the Himalayan ranges. Truly humbles you.
Included are some flight photography from the commercial jetliner and those from the Ladakh region of India (which was on the ancient silk road) taken during my 2008 and 2011 visits. The blue colors of these high altitude lakes has to be seen to be believed and changes color during the day based on light, clouds etc.
Apologize for the poor IQ and composition. C&C is greatly appreciated.

Gorgeous landscape and color, and rarely seen from above! You did a great job, KD! Only comment I would make is to try and avoid having the horizon line dead center, unless you have a perfectly symmetrical image. But rules are meant to be broken anyways!

Fantabulous images "KD"!! The scale of these mountains is HUGE!!! The monastery is dwarfed against the background and I imagine it is not the size of a shed.! Just beautiful compositions all!! Well done my friend!!

Thanks so much Bobby for the C&C. I fixed a couple pics that had the horizon in the center
Hope it worked

Lovely stuff there. The colours you got look real pretty.
This place is definitely special. Although it is getting crowded there these days, it is still a worthwhile trip. It has a different charm in winters altogether.
